DANISH PRESIDENCY CONFERENCE ON ACCESSIBILITY
5 March 2012 /// EDF President Yannis Vardakastanis opened the conference of the Danish Presidency in Copenhaguen. The Denmark government and the European Commission have chosen to focus and accessiblity and inclusion. Karen Haekkerup, Danish Minister for Social Affairs and HRG Crown Princess Mary of Denmark reminded their commitment to the inclusion of persons with disabilities in their country.
CONFERENCE ON ACCESSIBILITY AND INCLUSION
The President of the European Disability Forum reminded the priorities for persons with disabilities in a time of economic crisis and austerity measures. This priorities were largely debated the day before this conference during a board meeting of the disability movement organisation.

THE FREEDOM GUIDE: A MAJOR CONTRIBUTION FOR ACCESSIBILITY
The disability movement presented its publication the Freedom Guide to a wide audience of 200 persons working on the disability field in Europe.
The Freedom Guide is a major contribution to the consultation of the European Commission on their project of European Accessibility Act.
The disability movement, together with academics and experts present what is crucial to take into account when designing a binding directive.
