Background

Measures taken by countries during the COVID-19 pandemic were often not created with the close involvement of persons with disabilities and therefore created avoidable difficulties to persons with disabilities and their support networks. Issues included particular challenges to leave the house, access to goods and services and infringement on the human rights of persons with disabilities.

How have different lockdown measures affected persons with disabilities? How are organisations of persons with disabilities advocating to change the situation?
