In the context of the European Disability and Development Week, the European Union, Sightsavers, Bridging the Gap and the European Disability Forum will host an event on "Women with disabilities - The EU’s role in pushing for inclusion in international cooperation"

During the event, we will:

  • Provide an overview of some of the work conducted by the EU around women with disabilities in international cooperation

  • Share examples of good practices to further build the capacity of organisations of persons with disabilities (DPOs) in developing and emerging countries

  • Produce recommendations to further implement articles 6 and 32 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
