The National Confederation of Disabled People Greece (NCDP) is an umbrella organisation representing the disability movement in Greece. Its main mission is to combat discrimination against disabled people and to protect the rights of theirs and their families. It was found in 1989 by organizations of people with disabilities and their families and holds the position of the Social Partner of the Greek State officially, regarding matters that concern people with disabilities and their families and struggles for the promotion of measures and policies, which will contribute to their full participation in the social, financial, civil and cultural life of the country. It has a very broad network of member bodies throughout Greece (over 500).

Being perfectly aware of the importance of the decisions made on EU level and their impact on disabled people’s lives, NCDP participated in the establishment of the European Disability Forum (EDF). NCDP acquires on a daily basis knowledge of the most recent European and international developments and ensures the transmission of information on disability matters in European and international level to all its member bodies.
