Mher Hakobyan Biography

Mher Hakobyan is an accessibility officer responsible for accessibility and freedom of movement of people with disabilities, covering areas and policies such as transport, the built environment, accessibility of goods and services, ICT and new technologies, research, consumer rights, tourism, and standardisation.

Previous experience includes policy and communication work related to equality and non-discrimination issues at Equinet – European Network of Equality Bodies, and to disability rights at the European Network on Independent Living (ENIL). He also has project experience acquired at the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan, Armenia.

Mher has a double Master’s degree in Global Studies from the University of Leipzig and London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

He joined EDF in January 2019.
