The voice of people with disabilities must be heard in Brexit negotiations

2 May 2017

Around 100 participants joined our workshop in London last March to discuss about the impact of Brexit on people with disabilities in the United Kingdom (UK). The workshop was co-organised by EDF, the European Network of Independent Living (ENIL) and the European Citizen Action Service (ECAS), as part of the project 'Brexit Takeaways'. This project aims to raise awareness among citizens about the possible impact of different Brexit scenarios on their rights and advocate for the best possible deal for them before decision-makers.

The aim of the workshop was to look at how persons with disabilities and their representative organisations in the UK and other Member States can have a stronger voice in the Brexit negotiations, so that their human rights are ensured.
