Consultant for internal sustainability audit

In 2022, the European Disability Forum (EDF) adopted a Green policy at our Annual General Assembly. Within this, EDF is committed to improving our own environmental impact. We committed to make an action plan to implement the Green policy.

As a consultant working on a sustainability audit at EDF, your role will be instrumental in several crucial aspects. Firstly, you will assist us in establishing a baseline to comprehensively evaluate our current impact. Furthermore you will help us understand and decide on priorities to include in our action plan. The action plan also has to take into account our specific situation as a Disabled Persons’ Organisation, respecting other criteria of accessibility and inclusivity.

Activities and deliverables

  1. Develop a plan for the environmental sustainability audit.
  2. Carry out the audit including the following areas: EDF workspaces such as physical and online venues, EDF events, travel for work and meetings, procurement of goods and services and other relevant areas.
  3. Create a report outlining EDF’s current environmental impact and make concrete recommendations where we can make most progress; if possible including references to existing Belgian, European or International Standards.
  4. Present the report to the environmental team and management team in EDF.

Timeframe

In 2023 we would like to have a basic action plan in place, so ideally the audit should be completed by the end of October 2023 if possible.
