IAAP and the European Disability Forum (EDF) are hosting a virtual event on the 21 of September 2023 to celebrate the Web Accessibility Directive Third Anniversary.

The 23rd of September is an important date for digital accessibility in Europe, due to the adoption of the Web Accessibility Directive.
Welcome to an event where accessibility experts, end-user representatives, public and private sectors, researchers, monitoring agencies, policymakers and other stakeholders from across the EU meet to share knowledge, be inspired and support each other.
The focus is on the Web Accessibility Directive, but the topics discussed go beyond mere legislation and include best practices, methods, tools and solutions to improve digital accessibility for all. The agenda includes presentations, panel discussions and Q&A from the audience, and topic facilitators will present results from interactive workshops carried out before the event.
The event will be moderated by Susanna Laurin, G3ict and IAAP Representative to the EU. The times below are in CEST.

By recognizing the starting point for when public sector websites had to be accessible across the EU, IAAP and EDF are contributing to raising awareness, spreading knowledge, and sharing expertise in the field of accessibility.
