The 5th European Parliament of Persons with Disabilities

We give priority to representatives of our members. If there are places left, EDF secretariat will let know all those who were put on the waiting list. So contact Loredana Dicsi to be placed on this list.

For now, you do not need to register, this will be done later. You can attend the 5^th European Parliament of Persons with Disabilities in person by joining one of the National Delegations. You can also follow the  day itself the event via a live streaming link that will be provided closer to the date.

All delegates will be seated in the Hemicycle. The Visitors Programme will provide a short introduction about the European Parliament, after which the 5^th European Parliament will start. It will include interventions from high-level representative such as the President of the European Parliament, European Commissioners, and representatives from national governments, international organisations and civil society. For each of the three panel discussions, there will be a plenary debate when delegates will be able to intervene from the floor. Additionally, the delegates will adopt a Manifesto for the 2024 European elections. Consult the Draft Agenda for more details.

The Visitors Programme allows Members of the European Parliament to invite citizens to visit or attend events at European Parliament’s premises in Brussels or Strasbourg. They finance a part of their trip and accommodation. During the delegations’ visit, a representative of the programme will meet the delegation in person.

Yes, all participants need to register for the event whether they are coming with a delegation or not. The registration form will be sent to the delegation coordinators, and will be also later available on EDF website.

You should be there at least 1 hour  before the event starts – so, latest at 8:50. The registration and security will take over 30 minutes as there will be over 600 people attending the event.

The European Parliament is accessible to persons in wheelchairs and with reduced mobility. We will provide interpretation in all 24 EU official  languages, as well as International sign Interpretation. Human live captioning in English and automated translation of the captioning will be available in all EU languages. An easy read format of the programme and of the manifesto to be voted will be available. Other measures can be available upon request.

The 5^th European Parliament of Persons with Disabilities will take the whole day. It is a one day event. Registration starts at 8 AM, with the first session starting at 9h30 AM. The event will end around 18h30.
