Specific groups

Among the 80 million disabled people that regularly face discrimination in Europe, there are vulnerable groups for which multiple discrimination is a daily and hard reality. These groups include women with disabilities, young disabled people, people with complex dependency needs, people with chronic illness.

For the European Disability Forum, guaranteeing the visibility of the excluded among the excluded is a main priority. Through its committees of experts and task forces, EDF draws attention to the specificities of each of these groups, providing an important source of knowledge and expertise within the organisation.
