Representatives of the European Disability movement also had the opportunity to meet with Finnish Prime Minister Antti Rinne on Friday, 7 November. 132 delegates from the disability movement across Europe gathered in Helsinki during the Finnish Presidency of the EU.   • Joint statement: EDF and partners call on the Council to improve rail passengers' rights

    12.11.2019 As part of EDF's campaign on the Rail Passengers' Rights Regulation (1371/2007) which is currently under revision, we published a joint statement with the European Passengers' Federation, AGE Platform Europe, and the European Cyclists' Federation to call on the Council to improve the Regulation. Following a rather positive proposal from the Commission and from the European Parliament, the Council is now risking to weaken the Regulation significantly.   • Training: DARE project

    08.11.2019 Last week our Vice-President Pat Clarke and new colleague Aoife Price participated in a European-wide training event at the National University of Ireland, Galway as part of the DARE project (Disability Advocacy and Research in Europe). The DARE project is a follow up to the DREAM project, and is a European-wide training network for early-stage researchers in the field of disability rights.
