SDGs: European countries participating in the High Level Political Forum next year

18 September 2017

The final list of countries presenting at the High Level Political Forum (HLPF) on Sustainable Development next summer is now available. 48 countries have volunteered to present their national review at the United Nations, to showcase national progress towards the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In Europe, 15 countries will be conducting this exercise. They are:

  1. Albania
  2. Andorra
  3. Armenia
  4. Greece
  5. Hungary
  6. Iceland
  7. Ireland
  8. Latvia
  9. Lithuania
  10. Malta
  11. Poland
  12. Romania
  13. Slovakia
  14. Spain
  15. Switzerland

EDF will support its members to engage in national advocacy, in collaboration with other civil society platforms, to ensure persons with disabilities are included in the Voluntary National Reviews (VNR). In the meanwhile, any organisation interested to engage in supporting disability-inclusive SDGs could find out who the SDGs contact point is in its country. This information will also be available in the coming months on the official SDGs website, on the individual page of each VNR country.
