European Deaf Union (EUD)

*The European Deaf Union (EUD) has launched a publication giving the deaf perspective on the UN CRPD implementation in Europe. The publication focuses specifically on Article 29 concerning 'Participation in Political and Public Life' Find more here

European Network on Independent Living (ENIL)

Autism Europe

*Autism Europe has issued its own Alternative Report providing more information on existing gaps in the UN CRPD implementation of the rights of persons with autism by the EU. Have a look at the report here

*Autism Europe is campaigning to stop discrimination against people with autism across Europe, under Article 5 of the UN CRPD concerning equality and non-discrimination. Find more here

*They also launched a report on autism and employment in 2014, addressing Article 27 of the UN CRPD concerning work and employment. Find the report here


European Blind Union (EBU)

*The European Blind Union (EBU) has launched a report on Political Participation Rights of Blind and Partially-Sighted People in Europe. *They have also launched a report on how to implement the UN CRPD through articles 33 and 35. The European Blind Union (EBU) holds a UNCRPD legislative database providing information on specific legislation relevant to blind and partially sighted people in Europe. This tool is intended to enable EBU member organisations to record the extent to which their country's legislation provides the rights contained in the Convention.

The database builds upon a set of articles statements developed by EBU. The statements define the needs and characteristics of blind and partially sighted people in relation to the relevant UN CRPD articles. Statements have been prepared for 16 articles.

Mental Health Europe (MHE)

*Mental Health Europe (MHE) has a video concerning the implementation of Article 12 of the UN CRPD on Legal Capacity. Watch the video here

*They have also published the 'Mapping Exclusion Report' concerning the implementation of Article 19. This is the first European report of the state of deinstitutionalisation and community-based care in the mental health field. Find the report here
