Women with disabilities - The EU’s role in pushing for inclusion in international cooperation

In the context of the European Disability and Development Week, the European Union, Sightsavers, Bridging the Gap and the European Disability Forum hosted an event on “Women with disabilities – The EU’s role in pushing for inclusion in international cooperation” which

  • Provided an overview of some of the work conducted by the EU around women with disabilities in international cooperation
  • Shared examples of good practices to further build the capacity of organisations of persons with disabilities (DPOs) in developing and emerging countries
  • Produced recommendations to further implement articles 6 and 32 of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
