Training on transposition of the EU Directive on combating Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence. 21 May 2025

Training on transposition of the EU Directive on combating Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence. 21 May 2025
from 10 am to 11.30 am

Online

In 2024, the European Union adopted its very first law on combating violence against women. This law – The EU Directive on combating violence against women and domestic violence – is not directly applicable in EU countries. Countries need to “transpose” it by 2027 by adopting or revising their own national laws and policies. And you must be part of the process!

This training will provide background information on the Directive. It will focus on the importance of this law for women and girls with disabilities and will provide space to discuss how you can help making it a reality in your country. We will present our Guide on the transposition of Directive. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and share experience regarding challenges.

This event will provide International sign interpretation and real-time captioning in English.
