The World Bank, in collaboration with the European Disability Forum (EDF), is hosting a consultative workshop to present the final draft ‘Guidelines for people with disabilities and first responders on How to Act in Emergencies’.
These are being developed by the World Bank and the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) with financing from European Commission (DG ECHO), through the Technical Assistance Financing Facility (TAFF) for Disaster Prevention and Preparedness.
This activity supports the implementation of Action 33 of the Preparedness Union Strategy and focuses on the development of practical guidelines at the European Union level to strengthen support for persons with disabilities and first responders in emergency situations.
