Date: March, 2021
European Disability Forum (EDF), International Disability and Development Consortium (IDDC), and MEP Radka Maxova are delighted to invite you to this event.
This online discussion aims to inform MEPs about the progress made over recent years in EU policy towards disability inclusion in international cooperation and humanitarian action. It will focus on the effective implementation of the new EU Strategy on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in these areas of EU work, in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Specifically, through presentations from key experts and moderated panel discussion, it will discuss priorities from key EU action plans and frameworks, identify gaps that still exist, and highlight action that MEPs can take to ensure that this positive momentum continues.
