Call for tenders: Easy-to-Read translation of EDF's DATA project report on technology in employment

The European Disability Forum (EDF) is looking for a qualified and experienced translation service provider to submit their proposals for the provision of easy-to-read translation services for a research report for the project “Accommodation and Technological Assistance for Employment (DATA)” funded by Google.org.

Practical information about the projects

  • The selected translator will be responsible for providing an easy-to-read translation of the first section of our research report.
  • The text to be translated is around 5800 words and 11 pages of text.
  • Examples of past easy-to-read publications can be found in the references at the end of this call.

The successful provider should

  • Translate reports from English into Easy-to-Read format.
  • Layout and formatting the translated reports, including the integration of images and/or other visual elements.
  • Provide final deliverables that meet accessibility requirements.
  • Ensure a review by a self-advocate.

Timeline

The report should be delivered by mid-May. The exact date can be agreed directly with EDF’s Social Policy team.
Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing easy-to-read translation services, preferably in the field of disability rights or related areas.
  • Capacity to deliver high-quality translation and design solutions within defined timelines, while adhering to EDF’s brand guidelines and values.
