Call for tenders: editing and proofreading service provider for EDF's DATA project report on technology in employment

The European Disability Forum (EDF) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced copywriter and proofreader service providers to support the organisation in proofreading a research report for the project “Accommodation and Technological Assistance for Employment (DATA)” funded by Google.org.

Practical information about the report

  • There will be two reports – One short report of approximately 30 and one longer report of approximately 140 pages with text only.
  • First report approx. 8000 words of text
  • Second report approx. 92000 words of text

The successful provider should

  • Provide editing for consistency in language, style, and terminology throughout the reports.
  • Provide suggestions for clarity and coherence where necessary.
  • Thorough edit and copywrite for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting errors.
  • Deliver the document with corrections in track changes.

Timeline

The final reports should be available in accessible PDF form by the end of June.

The proofread text of the first, 30-page report should be completed by the beginning of May and the second 140-page report by the end of May. The exact date can be agreed directly with EDF’s Social Policy team.

Requirements

  • Experience in proofreading, preferably in the field of advocacy, or policy.
  • Proficiency in English, with exceptional grammar and language skills.
  • Familiarity with disability rights terminology.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
