EDF and Siteimprove continue to work jointly in 2021 to make the web a better place for all

The European Disability Forum (EDF) and Siteimprove, an award-winning global software-as-a-service company, have renewed their corporate sponsorship agreement. The collaboration, which was first formalized in 2018, is carried by the joint vision of a digitally accessible Europe, providing seamless experiences for all people – regardless of their abilities.

Built on the shared belief in an inclusive world that offers equal access to information, services, products, and applications to everyone, the EDF and Siteimprove are fundamentally committed to helping organizations champion web accessibility through technology, expertise, constant innovation, and collaboration with the community of persons with disabilities.

The EDF and Siteimprove will concentrate on creating opportunities to educate about accessibility and provide an actionable path towards building an inclusive digital experience. Already in June, Siteimprove will join Microsoft and the EDF at The European Accessibility Summit with a focus on “Accessibility and the Future of Work: The Role of Digital”. The EDF and Siteimprove will jointly work towards empowering organizations to facilitate cultural change in support of a digitally inclusive environment for all web users.

Camilla Simonsen, COO at Siteimprove

“I am excited to continue our collaboration with the EDF. In previous years, our joint efforts have opened doors at the United Nations and the European Union to discuss why organizations, NGOs, and commercial businesses must partner up and work together to shed light on the importance of digital accessibility for a truly inclusive web experience. In the context of many public and private organizations now actively focusing on diversity and inclusion combined with increasing regulations in the field, we’re excited to work strategically with EDF on expert insights and guidance on how to champion web accessibility.”

Catherine Naughton, Director of the European Disability Forum

“We’re proud to renew our partnership agreement with Siteimprove. After the urgent call for greater digital accessibility brought by the pandemic, and in the year when the Web Accessibility Directive will be reviewed, we are delighted to continue to team up closely with a leading provider of tools and expertise for web accessibility around the world.”
