In the context of the Ukrainian refugee crisis, EDF is undertaking a programme to support Moldovan Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) in their response. Within this programme, EDF is hiring a consultant to provide support in project management, monitoring, reporting, as well as internal and external communication.
The consultant will provide 15 days per month for four months (October 2022 to January 2023).
Terms of reference
In cooperation with the EDF team in Brussels, the consultant will be responsible for:
- Monitoring the implementation of agreed deliverables
- The production of narrative reports to funders
- Oversight of financial reports
- Regular communication between four Moldovan partners, EDF and donors
- Synthesising data from Moldovan partners and drafting and editing reports for publication
- Synthesising communication materials, developing case studies and messages for external communication
- Troubleshooting – identifying and resolving any bottlenecks that may hinder progress
- Ensuring smooth coordination between Moldovan partners’ activities and EDF’s strategic priorities.
Essential skills and experience
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject
- At least five years’ professional experience in project implementation in a relevant field
- Fluent Romanian and English
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Track record in writing and editing reports for publication
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation
- Experience in internal and external communications
- Experience managing and monitoring budgets
- Strong commitment to human rights and disability rights
- High standard of professional ethics
- Knowledge and experience of the Republic of Moldova preferred.
Remuneration
The day rate for this consultancy is $250 Euros. The consultant is responsible for their own taxes.
