Erika Hudson's biography

Joined EDF in September 2023.

As International Cooperation Policy Officer, Erika Hudson focuses on EU international policies affecting persons with disabilities, work with EDF partners and networks and engage in the work on EU delegations as well as other policy initiatives at global level.  

 Background

  • Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs – Indiana University (USA)
  • Master of Science in International Development and Management – Lund University (Sweden)

Erika began her public policy career in Washington DC through a series of internships with the American Association of People with Disabilities, the United States House of Representatives and United States Senate. These internships eventually led her to the National Disability Rights Network (NDRN) where she served as a Public Policy Analyst for three years advocating for the inclusion and rights of persons with disabilities in the United States.

After her DC experience, Erika moved to Sweden to pursue a master’s degree in international development. During this period, she held additional internships with the Swedish Disability Rights Federation and MyRight, an umbrella organization for international development initiatives within the Swedish disability rights movement.
