This event will be organised jointly by EDF and our Slovenian members, NSIOS. Slovenia will hold the Presidency of the Council of the EU and has shown a strong commitment on the Disability Card, being one of the first Member States to participate in the pilot project. Now that we have the new Disability Rights Strategy, which promises the Card to be introduced by 2023, it is a good moment to define EDF’s priorities on how this European Card could look like.
We will invite users of the Card, Disabled Persons’ Organisations, national and EU authorities, and other interested stakeholders to speak about their experiences, wishes, and recommendations for the future of the Card.
