Dublin Accessibility Talks

Dublin Accessibility Talks
from 4 pm to 7 pm

Anantara the Marker Dublin

EDF’s Dublin Accessibility Talks will take place on Friday the 23 of October 2023 at 16.00 in Anantara the Marker Dublin.

Persons with disabilities are enthusiastic users, and even early adopters, of information and communication technologies. When accessible, available, and affordable, digital technologies provide a gateway to social participation and independent living.

While legislation, standards, and awareness are key to developing inclusive digital solutions, cooperation between organisations of persons with disabilities and industry plays an equally important role. By working together, they can share expectations, address challenges, remove barriers, and drive innovation.

Through this event, the newly elected Board of the European Disability Forum (EDF) and representatives from the technology industry will have the opportunity to engage in this important conversation. Representatives of the disability movement will be able to share their expectations regarding technological developments, as well as their experiences with existing products and services. Industry representatives will be able to present their efforts to make products and services more accessible and showcase their latest innovations.
