Giulia Traversi: Joined EDF in 2022

 

Giulia is part of the International Cooperation Team and working as a Humanitarian Advocacy Officer for the Ukraine programme.

 

Background:

 

Giulia has previously worked with SOLIDAR aisbl, focusing on international cooperation to advance social justice. Before that, she worked within the human and trade union rights Department of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), working on human rights , labour and migration policies. After her studies, she undertook a traineeship within the European Committee of the Regions (CoR), and prior to that, she was working as a volunteer in Brazil, for an international NGO who fights for the eradication of poverty and social exclusion in Latin America.

During her experience, she has dealt with international cooperation for development, human rights, shrinking space for CSOs, and social protection.

 

University studies:

•  Bachelor in Economics – University of Brescia (Italy)
•  Master of Science in Political and Social Sciences – University of Milan (Italy) and Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium).
