Mariya Yasenovska's Biography

Joined in 2022. 

At EDF, Mariya supports people and organizations with disabilities in crisis due to the war in Ukraine. She maintains contacts with Ukrainian organizations, assesses their needs and participates in determining areas for further advocacy and direct action.

Background

Mariya Yasenovska is a Ukrainian expert on human rights, non-discrimination, rights of people with disabilities, gender equality and children’s rights. She has more than 20 years of experience in the NGO sector, led the Coalition “Rights of the Child in Ukraine” and the Coalition Against Discrimination in Ukraine. She is an expert on the Council of Europe, UN programs and projects in Ukraine, the OSCE and USAID, a trainer of the Youth Directorate of the Council of Europe. The organizer of the InclusOn Festival in Kharkiv, author of analytical materials and manuals on cultural inclusion, gender aspects of internal displacement, assessment of human rights in various institutions, public court monitoring.
