Phillipa Tucker's Biography

Phillipa joined to lead the Ascend CITI Foundation project in Bulgaria, Czechia, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, and serves as Coordinator for Central and Eastern Europe.
Background
Phillipa brings more than 25 years experience in research, advocacy, policy work, and movement building, with a passion for participatory action research, localisation, broad stakeholder engagement, and inclusive and innovative communications.
Phil has years of work as a project manager and coordinator in the international development and human rights sector and she has worked principally in Africa and international spaces, connecting with Latin American, and Asian regions. For the past five years, the work has been in the European region, principally Central and Eastern Europe. With experience from a broad range of movements and many countries, Phillipa works to share learnings across both place and rights. Her main focus has always been on diversity, equity and inclusion of people most left behind.
Phillipa has been living with Fibromyalgia-Myalgic Encephalomyelitis since having scarlet fever as a child.
