Ester Ridal Biography

Ester is a student with a hearing loss and dyslexia living in Sweden. On her spare time, she engages in the work of accessibility and disability rights in Sweden as a board member of The Swedish Association of Hard of Hearing Young People.

Except having her disabilities and other, still undiagnosed challenges, she is also a queer, transracial adoptee, and a person of colour. The complexity of intersectionality has impacted her life and making it hard for her to find her place.

The community of persons with disabilities is that place she has been looking for; it has helped her grow as a person and given her the power to dare to stand up for her rights. Now she is aiming to broaden her perspectives further and searching for opportunities to engage on an international.
