Virginia Carcedo Illera Biography

Virginia is Secretary General and Director of Transformation, Excellence, and Equality at Fundación ONCE where she is committed to advancing the rights, inclusion and full participation of persons with disabilities, paying particular attention to the multiple and intersecting forms of discrimination faced by women and girls with disabilities.

Throughout her professional and advocacy trajectory, and as a blind person herself, Virginia has demonstrated a deep commitment to the promotion of human rights, gender equality and the empowerment of women with disabilities.
