Promoting fully access to justice of persons with disabilities through the training of legal practitioners
The project aims to improve the access to justice of people with disabilities. To do so will contribute to the effective implementation of the European Charter of Fundamental Rights, of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
As specific objectives this project aims to:
To raise awareness among legal practitioners to the needs of persons with disabilities in the exercise of their effective right of access to justice.
To train a group of legal practitioners in the EU on the knowledge of the rights of persons with disabilities under the European Charter of Fundamental Rights, of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in order to achieve the effective recognition and application of their respective areas of activity.
To contribute to the real improvement of access to justice by people with disabilities in the context of the EU.
