This briefing aims to give guidance to the GREVIO to further address the perspective of, and specific abuses faced by, women and girls with disabilities, in its evaluation of the implementation of the Istanbul Convention.
The document assesses the scope, prevalence, and incidence of violence against women with disabilities.
It also inform the GREVIO on how to concretely include women with disabilities and their organisations in the evaluation process.
EDF welcomes the work already done by GREVIO to include the rights and perspectives of women and girls with disabilities in the implementation and monitoring of the Istanbul Convention.
