On January 15th the European Disability Forum (EDF) organised a webinar about the programme DiscoverEU. This is an initiative from the European Commission which gives the opportunity to young people, including persons with disabilities, of discovering different countries and cities traveling by rail.
The programme started in 2018 and it’s a pilot project. Young people aged 18 years old can apply to win a travel pass enabling them to explore Europe taking advantage of the freedom of movement within the European Union. The programme aims at strengthening the sense of belonging to the European Union and developing life skills of value for their future too.
