2021 Accessible Airport Award applications are now open!

2021 Accessible Airport Award applications are now open!

We are excited to launch the 6th EDF – ACI-Europe Accessible Airport Award! The past year has been quite tough for airports, but we hope that some opportunities were also created to improve accessibility for passengers!

Do you know an airport deserving recognition for their continued work to advance accessibility and services for persons with disabilities? Encourage them to apply to this Award!

The selection of the best airport will be done by EDF transport experts, members of the executive committee, and representative of the European Commission. The winner will be announced during the 17th ACI Europe Awards on 26 October 2021.

More information and application form are available on the webpage of ACI-Europe.

We invite all interested airports to apply by 8 September 2021.

Background information:

The Accessible Airport Award is the result of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between EDF and ACI-Europe in 2016, and celebrates airports in Europe that have achieved high level of accessibility as well as range and the quality of the assistance services to persons with disabilities. By sharing best practices, we aim to motivate more airports to advance accessibility of air travel.

Past winners include, Copenhagen Airport (2020), Gatwick airport (2019) Pafos Arport (2018), Larnaka Airport (in 2017) and the Dublin Airport (in 2016).
