EDF has completed the first Get AI Ready Train-the-Trainer programme as part of the Empowered by AI project, funded by Google.org. The programme is led by MinnaLearn and implemented together with EDF to strengthen AI literacy across Europe.
Around 20 selected trainers took part in the online introduction workshop on 10 September 2026. The session introduced them to the full Get AI Ready training pathway, their role as future trainers, and the course materials, including the online learning module and practical workshop toolkit.
Following the introduction, trainers completed two weeks of self-study to familiarise themselves with the content and prepare for the next steps. They then joined two follow-up workshops held on 28 September and 2 October. These smaller group sessions allowed trainers to ask questions, share experiences, and receive tailored support from the facilitators.
With these workshops now completed, the trainers are ready to begin the next stage of the programme: delivering a multiplier training within their own organisations and countries. Their goal is to train at least 10 people each, which means 200 persons with disabilities across Europe, helping them build confidence and practical skills to use AI safely and effectively in everyday life and work.
