We are opening a new funding opportunity under the project “Nothing without us: Women with disabilities leading the change”. This opportunity will provide grants of up to 3.000 euros per organisation or 9.000 euros per coalition, to support our members, their members, and partners who want to undertake activities focused on women’s rights across the Council of Europe area. Applications for funding will be open until 16 November 2026 18:00 CEST.
We aim to empower around 10 organisations or coalitions of organisations willing to undertake initiatives on women’s rights, especially focusing on women with disabilities and their leading role at local, national or European level. These can include:
- research on this topic;
- training sessions;
- organisation and participation in events;
- translation of resources on the topic.
Duration of the grant
The duration of the grants is 6 months. Activities should start in January 2027 and be completed no later than 30 June 2027. Reports should be sent to EDF no later than 31 August 2027.
Who can apply?
Please note that only organisations or coalitions of organisations can apply for this grant. We do not accept applications from individuals.
We will only accept applications from organisations or coalitions that meet with the following criteria:
- Organisations must be EDF member, membersof an EDF member, partnersworking on disability or women’s rights.
- must be non-profit.
- Activities must enhance the rights of women and girls with disabilities, with an explicit gender angle.
- Activities must be carried out between January and June 2027.
- Activities must be carried out at a local, national or European level.
- All activities and outcomes must be accessible to persons with disabilities.
Scope of the grants
The grants fund a specific set of activities or objectives aimed at supporting gender equality and women with disabilities’ work such as:
- training sessions;
- awareness and advocacy campaigns, including the launch of these campaigns;
- organisation of events;
- participation in events;
- translation of resources on women’s rights and gender equality;
- research on the rights of women and girls with disabilities.

Send the requested documents no later than 16 November 2026, 18:00 CEST.
The results will be announced to successful applicants by 21 December 2026.
