Call for tenders: Editing and proofreading service providers for EDF reports 

The European Disability Forum (EDF) is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced proofreading service providers to support the organisation in proofreading three of our reports throughout the calendar year.

Practical information about the reports: 

  • Three different reports: our Annual Report 2023 (40 pages aprox.), the Human Rights Report (60 pages aprox.) and Your Rights in the EU report (40 pages aprox.). You can check examples of past reports at the end of this news item. 
  • The reports may vary in length but it is estimated 140 pages in total.  

The successful provider should:

  • Thorough proofreading for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting errors. 
  • Ensuring consistency in language, style, and terminology throughout the reports. 
  • Providing suggestions for clarity and coherence where necessary. 
  • Deliver two files: one with tracked changes and a clean word document. 

The selected Proofreading service provider will be involved in three different reports over the course of the year.

Timeline:

  • To be discussed. The reports will have different timelines throughout the year.
  • We expect delivery within 15 – 20 days of reception of the final file. 

Requirements:

  • Should be registered in a European Union country. 
  • Experience in proofreading, preferably in the field of advocacy, or policy. 
  • Proficiency in English, with exceptional grammar and language skills. 
  • Familiarity with disability rights terminology. 
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
