Today, the European Commission announced the 4 finalists of the 2025 Access City Award.
The Award, which has existed since 2010, rewards EU cities that have prioritised accessibility for persons with disabilities. The Award focuses not only on existing accessibility but also on policies and plans to ensure the city becomes more accessible in the following years.

This edition saw the highest number of applications of the last decade: 57 cities applied for the award, with 33 candidates pre-selected by national juries.
Award ceremony
The award ceremony will take place on 29 November as part of the conference “European Day of Persons with Disabilities“, which you can follow online.
