EDF- Microsoft event on new skills for new jobs

The European Disability Forum and Microsoft share a commitment to finding new ways to strengthen e-skills and facilitating the creation of new jobs. Achieving these goals can be helped through a dialogue among EU institutions, the private sector, and citizens in order to ensure that all existing and new employment opportunities are open to persons with disabilities.

In pursuit of this goal, EDF and Microsoft jointly organised on 11 February at the European Parliament an important discussion about e-skills and ICT-related jobs. The objective was to share firsthand information on what is needed and what is expected in the ICT sector from industry players, persons with disabilities and policy makers.

The event was hosted by the MEP Marian Harkin.
