We are among the 14 new organisations that will be supported by the European Artificial Intelligence Fund.
We thank the European AI Fund for this opportunity, which will help us develop a project around Disability-Inclusive AI:
- We will advocate for European and national legislation that makes AI systems safe and accessible for persons with disabilities. AI systems should not create discrimination or violate our fundamental rights.
- We will improve the European Disability movement’s understanding of Artificial Intelligence and produce tools to advocate for ethical AI systems.
- We will raise awareness of the importance of ethical Artificial Intelligence systems.

We need to ensure that it does not repeat or amplifies the pattern of discrimination that persons with disabilities face both in the digital and non-digital world.”
The project will start on November 2022.
