Background Information: This meeting sets the stage for the upcoming Global Disability Summit 2025 (GDS2025) in Berlin, co-hosted by the Governments of Germany and Jordan, and the High-level European Regional Disability Summit on International Cooperation in autumn 2024.
Workshop Objective: This second consultation workshop aims to provide OPDs based in Europe and Central Asia with the latest updates on the Global Disability Summit 2025 and the European Regional Disability Summit. Furthermore, the workshop will showcase the results of the OPD Survey on International Cooperation and the 1st OPD Consultation. Additionally, government representatives and OPDs will share insights on their strategies for securing and advocating commitments during previous Global Disability Summits, contributing to collective efforts in advancing disability-inclusive development.
Accessibility: The meeting includes international sign interpretation, real-time captioning in English (with the possibility to have automatic captioning in other languages) and language interpreters in French, Spanish, German and Russian.
