The right to work - Launch of the EDF human Rights Report on employment

The right to work - Launch of the EDF human Rights Report on employment
from2 pm to 4 pm

Online. Zoom

This year we are launching our 7th Annual Human Rights Report. This report will focus on employment and the right to work for persons with disabilities in the EU.

We will share with you the latest findings to come out of our research, including data and national comparisons in the EU regarding the main issues persons with disabilities face in the labour market. We will also hear directly from people who have experienced these barriers to better understand their personal experiences. Together, we will explore what positive steps can be taken by employers, policy makers and persons with disabilities themselves to improve the situation.

This meeting, marking the official launch of our new report, will cover issues such as:

  • The disability employment gap
  • Full-time employment rates
  • The situation of women and young people with disabilities in the open labour market
  • The pay gap for persons with disabilities
  • In-work poverty
  • Discrimination in recruitment
  • The right to reasonable accommodation at work
  • The loss of disability benefits when in work
  • Sheltered employment and the transition to the open labour market
  • Preparing persons with disabilities for the future of the labour market in the EU

We look forward to welcoming you to this free event and allowing you to also share your own thoughts and experiences. You can register by clicking on the link below.
