Time to implement the Web Directive! What should we advocate for?

Recently the European Commission published in the Official Journal of the European Union two implementing decisions detailing the accessibility statement, and the monitoring and reporting obligations foreseen in the Web Accessibility Directive.

This decisions, known as implementing acts, are available in all EU official languages and provide further information about these three key aspects not fully developed when the Directive was adopted. As the Directive, these acts also give flexibility to Member States on how to put them in practice.

To make sure that EU countries take the best approach in implementing them, EDF has prepared a short document outlining key recommendations for organisations of persons with disabilities engaged in political discussions with their government about the Web Accessibility Directive. This document complements the EDF toolkit on the transposition of this Directive.
