Biography

Alice Inácio Biography

Alice INÁCIO was born in Barreiro, district of Setúbal in 1984. She is Portuguese.

She is a member of the Board of CNOD – National Confederation of Organizations of People with Disabilities since 2019. She is currently Vice-President of that Organization. She is also President of the CNOD South Delegation.

She was a founding partner of the OUVIR Association – Portuguese Association of Hearing Implants and Prostheses Wearers in 2011 and is also a member of the APD – Portuguese Association for the Disabled.

She was part of small informal civic movements for guidance and referrals.

She is a volunteer in these organizations.

She was heavily involved in the relevant claims for the creation of the clinical standard on Bilateral Cochlear Implantation in Adults for full reimbursement in the SNS – National Health Service from 2011 to 2018.

She remains active in strengthening Assistive Products in technologies to listen and guarantee the rights of People with Disabilities.

She continues to work on the evolution of bills, in particular for education, professional life and digital accessibility in the area for children, youth and adults with disabilities.

Professionally, she is a Designer and released a book for children entitled “Jonas and the Magic Ears!” and participated in major national projects.

She has experience in European and International contexts.
