EDF amendments on the EU Multiannual Financial Framework 2028-2034

The European Disability Forum presented a set of amendments to the European Union’s EU Multiannual Financial Framework 2028–2034 (MFF), aimed at ensuring that the next long-term EU budget fully upholds the rights of persons with disabilities and delivers on the EU’s commitments to equality, inclusion, and social justice.

The publication is structured around five key documents, each addressing a core component of the future EU budget architecture:

  1. Monitoring Framework and Horizontal Principles: focusing on governance, transparency, and rights-based implementation.
  2. Erasmus+ 2028–2034: with proposals to guarantee inclusive access to education, training, and mobility.
  3. National and Regional Partnership Plans: reinforcing the principle of partnership and the involvement of organisations of persons with disabilities.
  4. European Social Fund 2028–2034: to advance social inclusion, employment, and poverty reduction.
  5. European Regional Development Fund 2028–2034: to ensure investments promote accessibility, independent living, and inclusive regional development.
