EDF welcomes the European Commission’s draft standardisation request to the European standardisation organisations (ESOs) as regards the accessibility requirements of products and services in support of Directive (EU) 2019/882 (the European Accessibility Act – EAA).
In this position paper, we reinstate our recommendations for ensuring inclusive European Standardisation in support of the European Accessibility Act, which we have issued in June of this year. Based on these, we recommend strengthening the draft standardisation request through concrete amendment suggestions to the European Commission’s draft request.
