The Danish Presidency stands out as a strong example of effective collaboration between the Presidency and disability movement at national and EU level:

  • Meaningful participation: The High-Level Conference, combined with the EDF Board meeting, was a highlight, featuring many speakers with disabilities and strong involvement of DPOs in both planning and implementation.
  • Accessibility by design: The main venue for all Presidency events, including Ministerial meetings, was fully accessible and inclusive.

This is an outstanding result for a very inclusive and accessible Presidency!

A small area of improvement would be the mainstreaming of disability issues across all policy files and events.
