The European Commission is developing a legal act which will go into more technical details on the digital versions of the European Disability Card and European Parking Card. This ‘Delegated Act’ will support the main Directive on the European Disability Card and the European Parking Card (Directive 2841/2024), which was adopted in October 2024.
This ‘Delegated Act’ can only add technical details. It will not change the scope or other aspects of the Directive, as it is a type of supporting document. Nevertheless, it is important that disability advocates validate and give feedback if there are improvements to be made.
That is why we ask all interested people and organisations to participate in a public consultation on the draft Delegated Act, which is open until 30 April 2026.
