In Ukraine, over 2.7 million persons with disabilities were registered before the war; by July 2022, it was estimated that 13% of the families fleeing Ukraine had at least one member with a disability.
From April 2022, we have started collaborating with 12 DPOs across 8 countries (Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine) to the project “Ukraine war: OPD led disability inclusive response and recovery”, funded by CBM International.
In this report we present the results achieved by our partners and us in the past seven months, and outline our long-term plans for the future of the project.
